accommodation in Dalbeattie, Scotland. We are situated off the main road through Dalbeattie on the B794 to the Haugh of Urr.

About The Area
Dalbeattie (valley of the birch) is a small granite built town close to the Solway coast (4 miles) and the two beautiful inlets of Kippford and Rockcliffe. It is an ideal base for coastal, inland and forest walks of which there are many.
Birdwatching is also a favourite in the area and Mersehead boasts some of the best hides in the country for wildfowl, etc. At Lauriston by the side of Loch Ken, visitors can watch the Red Kites being fed every afternoon.
The area is superb for cyclists as the roads, even at the height of the season, are lacking in traffic with many off the beaten track only having an odd tractor!!
We are close to one of the renowned 7Stanes mountain bike tracks (2 minutes down the road) and provide garage lock up and hose pipe facilities.
